We thought it would be interesting to share some of our favorite programs every month and to point out a few fun episodes of what has been entertaining us lately. We’ll break this up a bit and share a few of our favorite YouTube.com, Traditional TV and occasionally something we found on a streaming serve.
On YouTube.com in March
We have several channels we regularly watch and we’ve found a new one to keep us laughing. First, we wanted to share a video from one of our favorites – Hoovie’s Garage. This episode came out with great timing as it aligns really well with our articles on electric cars.
In this video, Tyler discovers that the performance of a Tesla destroys every super car. We’ve been talking on our blog about the need for car companies to pivot away from pitching EV’s as a way to just save the environment and to begin marketing them for what they really are, a superior performing vehicle that is a far simpler piece of equipment from bumper to bumper. You can read our previous article HERE.
Recently, the Cabbage and I found a fantastic new bit of entertainment in the form of the Ordinary Sausage channel on YouTube. Yea, my uncle was always right when he said “simple minds are easily amused.” I guess I must be pretty simple because this channel has had me laughing for a week.
Click on his “About” link on YouTube and you find everything you need to know “I make sausage.” Going through his backlog will lead you to fantastic videos of this entertaining fellow making sausage from Skittles, catfish, and even mayo. No this is not instructional, its just fun. Our favorite so far?
Our final entry for March comes from one of our favorite authors. Yes, Brandon Sanderson finally came clean. I’ve followed Brandon Sanderson ever since he was announced as the replacement for the late Robert Jordan to complete the Wheel of Time Series. Not only did Sanderson hit a home run on that project, he has managed to churn out an unreal amount of work in the decade plus since. Nobody could possibly do this much work… or could they?
Traditional TV
We don’t watch a lot of traditional TV here at Cubert Nine and sharing links to this type of media is… challenging.
Mrs. Cubert has been enjoying the Guy Fieri Tournament of Champions season 3 over on Food Network. The chefs have really stepped up their game and the randomizer that selects their challenge has been especially mean. So far, each episode has been fairly entertaining and has been kept mostly free of artificial drama.
March Madness started on 3/17 and is always entertaining. Having Kentucky ousted in Round 1 as a 2-seed was especially surprising. Be sure to watch Duke as this is the last go around for Coach K before he retires. Other teams to pay attention to include Auburn, anchored by Jabari Smith and Gonzaga, anchored by Chet Holmgren.
The NBA is starting to wind down towards the play-offs. March has been especially eventful as there have been a seemingly endless number of players scoring over 50 and the month is currently the highest scoring single month in NBA history (outside of the pandemic bubble games in Orlando). There was even a day where 3 players scored 45 or more in 3 separate games – an NBA record. This type of scoring generally happens in the early goings of a season before teams buckle down which makes this especially interesting.
That’s all for March. If you have any favorite TV or YouTube videos for March 22, please tell us in the comments.
